We’re here now! July 1st 2010 and officially the start of the second half of the year.
Sports fans out there will recognize that a good team who has fallen behind in the first half generally comes out of halftime with a new fire in their eyes. Their coach has lit into them, and they get refocused on the objective of winning the game.
Our objective is on winning in the game of life and to do this we must take the ideas that we have in our heads and turn them into reality! Don’t be the guy who see’s a fantastic product or service doing really well in the market only to say that that was your idea. Don’t be the girl to say that you are now too old to do something you have been thinking about for decades. You snooze, you lose. A good friend of mine said recently that nothing comes to a sleeper but dreams…WAKE UP and LIVE!!!
Everything starts with an idea and there is no time like the 2nd half of 2010 for yours to become realities.

We have been doing a countdown of sorts and today that countdown ends. This is officially the end of June and when we wake up tomorrow we will officially begin the 2nd half of 2010. You ready?
Whether you have kicked ass the 1st half of the year or you made a complete mess of things, there is still more to be done. My definition of success is getting better and better everyday in every way. If this definition sounds about right to you then you like everyone else has some work to do for the rest of 2010 and beyond!
Change is the only constant in life and we are always changing for the better or changing for the worse. As you walk into July what changes for the better will be made? What goals will be realized? What dreams that you have put of will be started? Will you start that business this year? Are you going to lose that 30 lbs this year? Are you going to end that dead end relationship that is holding back this year? Are you going to get debt free this year? Are you going to step into your best self this year? This week we will close out June and we will officially be at the half way point of the year. Time to take score. Is 2010 turning out to be everything you’d hope it would be? What is it that you need to do to accelerate your pace, to stay on track or to get on track in the first place?
If 2010 is going to be what you want, its going to be because of the decisions you make and the actions that you take now and throughout the remainder of the year.
So decide! If you could only accomplish 3 things for the rest of the year, what would they be? In the answer to this question lies what matters most to you? Just like one day is not enough for Mother’s Day it isn’t enough for Father’s Day either. I had such an amazing time yesterday and would like to thank everyone who shared all the Happy Fathers Day wishes via Calls, Text & FaceBook! The day had to end but our focus on being good fathers doesn’t.
Fatherhood has helped me develop a 2nd conscious. Before I do something I often find myself asking how would my daughter feel if she was watching. Many bad decisions have been avoided by asking and answering this simple question.
For those who are not parents this question can be adjusted to anyone who you have care and concern for. Most of us are being watched and looked up to by someone. Making the best possible choices for our own life will influence them to do the same with theirs.

This week like all others we will each be confronted with a lot of choices. Try asking yourself how your decision will effect others who are watching you. Show them through your own actions what it is going to take for them to grow and to step it up in this game called life!!!
