Competing against others is fun and certainly a part of life none of us can avoid. Whether its being up against others as a candidates for a job, a scholarship, a sport or many other areas we will compete throughout our lives.
So when thinking about the best way to compete, where should we put our focus and energy? We should put it on being the best WE can be. You see there is nothing you can do to control what others bring to the game. You can however control what you do. You can control trying to be a little better today than you where yesterday and a little better this week than you where last week. You can compete against your best and in this way you will always be moving forward. Who can ask for anything more?
So this week in what areas can you be better than you were last week? This week in what areas can you grow and be the best you’ve ever been?
Answer these questions and then take decisive action associated with whatever you come up with and there is no way that this won’t be a fantastic week. Lets do it!!!!

This film can be viewed on many levels. It is a story of a man accepting change and diversity at an age when most people would prefer to dwell on their memories. On a more profound level, Gran Torino suggests the possibility of global unification, or at least respect, of diverse cultures and an unconditional acceptance of the other, no matter how different they seem on the surface. This was definitely the movie of the year. Moreover, in my opinion, this is Eastwoods most socially conscious and finest film; as Elvis Costello once sang, and this could have been part of the soundtrack ,Whats so funny bout peace, love, and understanding?
